Poetry: An Analysis on E. "O'brevis" Omeje's Depression -E-CAF

The poem is an easy comprehensible piece, made up of three nailed stanza, with a unifying theme. It's the shortness and meaningful write up I have seen on depression; encoded with the START, the AFTERMATH and the ADVISE. So complete!

In stanza one, it describes the first stage I themed  *Invasion of the three powers of the soul by depression:  the damages it does to one's MEMORY (L.5-6), the UNDERSTANDING which is depicted as "false doctrines" (L.7) and finally the WILL which the persona left in a very descriptive figures:
"He bits you hard and leaves you battling with it's venom" (L.2)

This is because when one is struggling to survive, the WILL to do what he desires goes on a plane mode.

In the second stanza, we can see, clearly, the voice of depression (line 9-12) which engages one's mind in an evil contemplation, and finally "...you seek to take a life you did not give." (L.15)
It seems like at this point, depression has won over the person.

We ought to understand that at the first stanza, if one can conquer the first stage as described in stanza one, the existence of the second stanza wouldn't have been a matter for discuss. If cautioned when depression "...creeps into you" (L.1), the fact of "...becom[ing] a walking corpse" (L.14) after the bit depression "...leaves you battling with his venom" (L.2) wouldn't have been a case of "false doctrines" (L.7).

Conclusively, we see the persona becoming an activist against depression (line 16 & 20). When all the three powers of the soul are arrested in one's self, such a person can no longer be immune to depression, until he seeks to "speak to someone" (L.17) - an image of a therapist created. And he ends the poem with a message that everyone were born for a purpose to be accomplished in this world as evident in line 18-19:
"Know ye that you are loved,
And the world remains a better place with you therein."
